The Stewardson (Trinity Lutheran School) Cardinals defeated the Iuka Pirates (25-16, 25-7) on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Altamont Lutheran Interparish School in Altamont, Illinois, to win the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletics Association (SIJHSAA) Class S Regional. Sienna Bostedo finished with four points, two aces and eight assists. Kalia Friese had three points, one kill, 14 assists and two digs. Mya Friese had two points, one ace, 10 kills and six digs. Colby McCormick had six points, three aces, 11 kills and four digs. Kenzie Thompson had nine points, four aces, one kill and two digs and Zaida Wascher had 10 points, four aces and five digs.
