Filings are starting to flow into the Effingham County Clerk's office for area school board elections this spring.
On Tuesday, Effingham County Clerk Kerry Hirtzel relayed that several people have filed to seek a seat in the election of school board members.
In Altamont Unit 10, those filing to be on the April 2, 2019, ballot are incumbent Alan Kollmann, Amanda Miller and incumbent Shelly Kuhns.
In Beecher City Unit 20, so far two candidates have filed, incumbents Lee Rodarmel and Jordan Shields.
In Dieterich Unit 30, incumbent Thad Goebel is the only person at last check who had filed for that school board.
In Effingham Unit 40, several filed. Those names to appear on the ballot so far are Danielle Kingery-Harden, Jill Wendling, Robin Klosterman, incumbent Jane Willenborg and Bradley Waldhoff.
In Teutopolis Unit 50, two candidates so far have filed, incumbents Bradley Koester and Chandler Hewing.
Final day for filings is Dec. 17.
