An Effingham woman and an Altamont man were sentenced June 26 for drug-related offenses in Fayette County, according to the Fayette County State's Attorney's Office.

State's Attorney Joshua C. Morrison said Amanda Wesselman, 39, of Effingham pleaded guilty to violating her probation on the original offense of unlawful possession of controlled substance and was sentenced by Judge Don Sheafor to one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Morrison said Tanner C. Barnes, 23, of Altamont pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced by Judge Sheafor to 3 years in the IDOC.
