Cumberland County Farm Bureau Foundation will offer two $500 scholarships this spring to a high school senior or college student. The applicant or parent/guardians must be an active member of the Cumberland County Farm Bureau one year prior to application in order to be eligible.

The scholarship is available to high school seniors who will graduate in the spring of 2015 and will be attending college full time during the 2015-2016 school year, and/or currently enrolled college students. Applicants must be majoring in agriculture or an agriculture-related field. A high school transcript, college transcript (if applicable), two letters of recommendation and a wallet size photo must be submitted with application.

Applications must be turned into the Farm Bureau office by 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and honors, interest and involvement in agriculture, community involvement, professional goals, self-help and financial need.
