Two teenagers were injured in a crash that occurred Monday evening in Mound Township, according to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said a 2010 Ford Flex driven by Krista J. Stine, 41, of Farina was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 40, half a mile west of 500th St., at 5:55 p.m. A 1997 Ford Mustang driven by Nevaeh T. Blair, 17, of Altamont was traveling westbound at the same location when authorities said Stine failed to see Blair's vehicle while turning left into a business parking lot, striking Blair's car.

Blair and passenger Cameron M. Stanley, 17, of Altamont were transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries. Authorities said parties in both vehicles were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.
