EFFINGHAM

Enjoy the City of Effingham's annual fireworks show on July 4, starting at dusk (around 9 p.m.) at the Effingham High School Sports Complex, 1301 Grove Ave.

Rain date is July 5.

STEWARDSON

Sunday, June 30

4 p.m. — Red, White and Blue Parade

Food Stand opens after parade and will be open until 8 p.m.

4-8 p.m. — Bounce Houses

6:30 p.m. — Pig Tail Contest, open to all ages

6:45 p.m. — Little Miss and Mr. Stewardson

7 p.m. — Eating Contest, $5 to enter, winner takes all, contact Shauna Curry to register prior to contest

7:15 p.m. — Steer Pong

7:30 p.m. — Mr. Heifer

Thursday, July 4

Farina will host its 64th Annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Village Park with an afternoon full of activities.

Noon — Food Stand opens; Beer Garden opens at the basketball court

2 p.m. — Parade registration

3 p.m. — Parade

3:45-5 p.m. — SIETC Rebels (Elite Tumble & Cheer)

4 p.m. — Inflatables, pony rides, kids games, bingo

5 p.m. — Cake Walk, pavilion; Opening with the National Anthem

5:15-6:45 p.m. — Ivas John Band performs

7-9:15 p.m. — Ben Nation performs

9:15 p.m. — Raffle drawing

9:30 p.m. — Fireworks

10 p.m. — Ben Nation performs

CHARLESTON

3 p.m. — Vendors open

4-6 p.m – Joyful Bubbles, fun for the whole family

6 p.m. — Free entertainment, The Hussey Brothers; Annual Award for Farmer of the Year

7-11 a.m. — Pancake Breakfast, East Pavilion Morton Park, by Charleston American Legion, $6 adults, $3 children 5-12

6:30 a.m. — Registration for Habitat for Humanity 4 Mile Run/Walk, race starts at 7:30
