An Ingraham man was killed Saturday after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Flora.

    According to a report from Illinois State Police District 12, the accident occurred at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Olive Street in Flora.

    State police report that Ray Brooks, 58, of Ingraham was driving a1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on U.S. 50 in Flora when a 2006 Mercury Milan driven by Howard Weidner, 49, of Louisville, who was traveling southbound on Olive Street near the intersection of U.S. 50, failed to stop at the intersection and traveled into the path of Brooks, who then struck the Weidner vehicle with his motorcycle.

    Brooks was transported to Clay County Hospital in Flora, where he was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

    Weidner was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield at an intersection.
