Wednesday, June 11

Downtown Effingham

5-8 p.m – Barbecue cookout, Effingham County Courthouse Museum lawn. Sponsored by Martin’s IGA Plus. Proceeds contributed to IHSRA Scholarship Fund.

6:15 – Cowboy Shoot-Out, return of the Cowboy Gunslingers, downtown.

6:30 – Rodeo Parade, Superhero theme, starts at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital through downtown Effingham, this year’s parade colors are red, yellow, blue and green.

7 – BAND: Big Spike Hammer, featuring Tom Denton, Chuck Myers, Mike Oldham, Donnie Craft and Elaine Feezel. on the courthouse lawn

Thursday, June 12

12:30 p.m. – Special Kids Rodeo, kids with special needs from around the area can come out and learn to rope and ride with the IHSRA contestants. Sponsored by Effingham Women of Today.

7 p.m – Rodeo Competition First Round, featuring National Finals Stock Contractor Universal Rodeo Company of Jackson, Mo.. Enjoy Bull & Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, and More!

8 p.m. – Kids Event - Mutton Bustin’ will take place in the arena, with little buckaroos from 5 to 7 years of age. Kids accompanied by a parent) can sign up for a chance at mutton-bustin’ at Rodeo office 6-7 p.m. nightly.

Friday, June 13 – Alumni Night

7 p.m. – Rodeo Competition, featuring top Illinois High School contestants in each event vying for a chance to advance to National Finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming

8 p.m. (Approx.) Kids Event – Mutton Bustin’ will take place in the arena, with little buckaroos from 5 to 7 years of age. Kids (accompanied by a parent) can sign up for a chance at mutton-bustin’ at Rodeo office 6-7 p.m. nightly.

Saturday, June 14

6:30-10 a.m. – Breakfast at fairgrounds, open to public. (Funds donated to IHSRA Scholarship Foundation) Sponsored by S&W Supermarket. Prepared by Altamont American Legion Post.

7 a.m. – Communitywide Garage Sales throughout town.

9 a.m. – Queen Formal Competition

Noon – Rodeo Competition, Bull & Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, and More!

6 p.m – Rodeo Competition Final Round, Tough Enough To Wear Pink! Arrive Early! The evening features the Crowning of the 2014 IHSRA Rodeo Queen
