Pairings from the National Trail Conference girls basketball tournament were released Tuesday morning with St. Anthony (1-0, 1-0) as the top seed and the only first-round bye.
Altamont (1-0, 0-0) is the second seed for the tournament that starts on Tuesday and continues on Nov. 29, while Neoga (0-1, 0-0) is the third seed and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (1-0, 1-0) got the fourth seed.
Seventh-seed South Central (0-1, 0-1) is set to be the first-round matchup for Altamont at 7 p.m. Tuesday, while Brownstown/St. Elmo (0-1, 0-0) plays Neoga at 8:30 p.m. and Dieterich (0-1, 0-1) plays CHBC at 5:30 p.m.
With an uneven number of teams, the loser of the CHBC and Dieterich game will get a bye in the next round of consolation play, while the winner plays top-seeded St. Anthony at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Seeding was conducted before Tuesday’s play.
The winners of the Altamont vs. South Central and Neoga vs. Brownstown/St. Elmo in the second round at 8:30 p.m. Friday. The championship game is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday. The consolation championship game is set for 10 a.m., while the third place game will be played at 11:30 a.m. Beecher City High School will host the tournament.
