---- — CHARLESTON -- The Class 1A girls track season ended Saturday, with Windsor, Neoga and Newton earning the area's best finishes at Eastern Illinois University. Windsor took 30th place with nine points, while Newton and Neoga each earned eight points for 32nd place. CHBC and St. Anthony each earned one point for 65th, and Teutopolis grabbed 0.5 points for 72nd place.The Blue Devils' finish was due to Jenny Bullock's fourth place finish in the 100-meter dash (12.69) and Katie Hostetter's sixth-place finish in the high jump (05-03). Neoga earned all eight of its points from Courtney Croy, who took second in the state long jump finals (17-05.50).Newton earned five points in the long jump as well, as McKendra Barthelme finished fifth overall (17-05). She also competed in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing seventh in 15.68 seconds. In the pole vault, St. Anthony's Sara Wortman finished ninth (10-03), while Teutopolis' Rachel Westendorf took 10th for the same height. Teutopolis' Anna Hartke tied for ninth in the high jump (05-03), while Neoga's Erin Walk took 12th overall (05-00). CHBC's Ava Paruleski got the Hornets on the board with a ninth-place finish in the triple jump (34-01.75).The Wooden Shoes' 4x800-meter relay team finished 12th in the relay, with Michelle Schmidt, Emma Repking, Elena Breer and Megan Weichman coming in in 10:19.87.
