Windsor no-hits Pana

One day after a big win against Dieterich, the Lady Blue Devils were back in action at Pana, and they didn’t disappoint. Windsor scored four runs in the second frame en route to a 10-0 victory that was called after six innings for the mercy rule.

Lindsay Floyd picked up her second win in as many days, tossing a no-hitter in the process. Floyd struck out 14 batters in five innings of action.

Whitney Kuhl drove in two runs, and both Dani Bell and Floyd brought one run home apiece to fuel the 10-0 shutout.

Windsor improved to 4-4 on the year, and the Lady Blue Devils are back in action today when they travel to St. Anthony.

South Central holds off St. Elmo/Brownstown

South Central scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning, and that would mark the end of any scoring for either team on Tuesday. The Lady Cougars held St. Elmo/Brownstown scoreless on the afternoon, surrendering just two hits in a 2-0 victory.

Abby King was a force on the mound, pitching a complete-shutout with two strikeouts. Samantha Austin picked up the loss for the Lady Eagles. Austin pitched six innings with four hits and six strikeouts.

At the plate, Megan Maxey connected on a double and Austin lined a single for the only St. Elmo/Brownstown hits of the afternoon. The Lady Eagles fell to 1-8 with the loss, and will look to pick up a win today against Ramsey.
