Haven Lorton and Jensyn Morrison each had two kills, with Morrison recording two blocks as well. Ashley Davis had one ace.
The Hornets did not play with the fire Wehrle expected and saw from them in a close win Monday night against North Clay.
"We just didn't play our game tonight," she said. "We played last night, we were all over the floor and we returned everything. Tonight, we walked in this gym, and we didn't return anything."
Schultz led the team with four aces, Wendt topped the team with six kills, Megan Nuxoll had three aces, three kills and six digs and Mathis topped the team with 17 assists.
Cowden-Herrick hosts its co-op rival Beecher City Eagles Thursday night, while St. Anthony (12-4) is of until this Saturday's St. Anthony/Newton Volleyball Invitational.
