A three-goal surge in the first half gave St. Anthony a 3-1 lead over Decatur St. Teresa, and the Bulldogs looked to be in good shaped entering the second half.
St. Teresa and a three-goal surge in them as well, coming back to take the lead and the win over St. Anthony with a 4-3 win.
Robben Burdick got the scoring going, finding the back of the net for St. Teresa less than eight minutes into the first half. St. Anthony answered, as Benton Hakman scored the first of his two goals with 28:07 remaining.
Chandler Martelli set up two quick goals for St. Anthony from there. He had an assist to Frank Jansen with 16:07 left to put St. Anthony up, and then set up Hakman with 14:34 left in the half to make it 3-1.
St. Teresa narrowed the gap early in the second when David Hlawek was awarded a penalty kick and connected to make it 3-2 with 38:48 remaining.
Ryan Finley scored with 28:24 left to tie the game and Hlawek had his second goal with 9:11 to go, a goal that would prove to be the game winner.
St. Anthony falls to 4-3-3 on the year, and the Bulldogs look to rebound Saturday at home when they host Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 11 a.m.
