Vonnie Lynn Hauck, 56, of Brownstown, homemaker, died at 11:23 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Road Angel Truck Center, Brownstown, with burial in Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. No visitation will be held. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Fayette County. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.



James Kenter

Teutopolis

James V. Kenter, 85, of Teutopolis died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Teutopolis, with military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service and a 7:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary with Fourth Degree service. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, is in charge of arrangements.



Milda Marxman

Milda Priess Marxman, 96, of Effingham died peacefully in her sleep at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007, at home in rural Effingham (Heartville).

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham, with Pastor Ted Gall and Pastor Michael Koschmann officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery located on Dutch Lane in rural Effingham. Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, St. John’s kitchen renovation project, Lutheran Care Center, Lincolnland Hospice or the donor’s choice. Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, is in charge of arrangements.

Edwin W. Mintert, 81, of Altamont died at 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at home.

Private family services will be held at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, today, with the Rev. John Savoree officiating. Burial will be in St. Clare Catholic Church Cemetery, Altamont. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland.

Trula Mae Rodgers, 89, of Newton died at 3:12 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney.

Bernadette Marie Reis, 96, of Ste. Marie passed away at 1:30 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Ste. Marie, with Father Robert Spriggs celebrating Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ste. Marie. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one-half hour prior to the funeral, both at the church. In loving memory of Bernadette, memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Ste. Marie. Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, is in charge of arrangements.

Brandon S. Schoonover, 24, of Effingham died at 8:42 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Schoonover family for Brandon’s sons.
