David Eggers

Maryville, Tenn.

David Max Eggers, 45, of Maryville, Tenn., died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, Tenn.

A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Tabernacle Church, Toledo, with the Rev. Jack Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Manna Ministries Inc., P.O. Box 4037, Maryville, TN 37802, the American Cancer Society, 2330 Chesterfield Drive, Maryville, TN 37803, or Calvary Tabernacle Church, Toledo.

Patrick Moran

Old Hickory, Tenn.

Patrick J. Moran, 74, of Old Hickory, Tenn., formerly of Ste. Marie, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006.

A memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Ste. Marie, with the Rev. Robert Spriggs officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, Ste. Marie, with full military rites by Ste. Marie American Legion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, is in charge of arrangements.

Bradley Schafer


Bradley J. Schafer, 40, of Newton passed away at 6:33 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, with the Rev. Al Kemme officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Newton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. In loving memory of Bradley, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Arnold Schmidt


Arnold Carl Schmidt, 102, of Altamont entered eternal life Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at 10:15 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

The time of visitation for family and friends will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at Kull Funeral Chapel, Altamont, and for one hour prior to the funeral Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont, with the Rev. William H. Veith Jr. officiating. Burial rites will follow in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Altamont. For those who prefer memorial contributions, they may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or Lutheran Care Center, both of Altamont, or the donor’s choice.
