BREAKING: Body identified as Willow Long

WATSON —  An autopsy has revealed that a body found south of Watson was missing 7-year-old Willow Long.

The autopsy, conducted by Dr. John A. Heidingsfelder, forensic pathologist, confirmed the identity of the body found by volunteer searchers to be Long. All indications point to cause of death being homicide. The autopsy is ongoing and is being conducted at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital

A release from the Effingham County State's Attorney's office will file First Degree Murder charges against Justin D. De Ryke, 22, of Watson, Long's maternal uncle. De Ryke will be in court Wednesday at 1 p.m. and additional charges may be filed later.
