FBI construct model to help identify body

NEWTON — The FBI has constructed a three-dimensional model to help identify human remains found in Newton last year.

The FBI released a facial approximation of how the man, found in March of last year in rural Newton, may have looked. The individual is estimated to be 35 to 50 years old and approximately 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-8 inches tall and may be of Caucasian, Asian, Native American or Hispanic descent.

Any individuals with information regarding the possible identity of the individual can contact Illinois State Police at 217-342-2292 or the Jasper County Coroner at 618-783-2345.
