EFFINGHAM — Effingham Daily News' Classified Advertising Section took first place in the Illinois Press Association Advertising Awards announced at the group's annual convention in Springfield. Over 1,000 entries were received in various categories of the IPA contest. The Daily News competed in Division I for newspapers with circulation from 8,001 to 30,000. Placing in the same classified division as the Daily News were second place winner, Kankakee Daily Journal; third place, Kane County Chronicle, St. Charles; and fourth place, Northwest Herald, Crystal Lake.
