FLORA — A single vehicle accident north of Flora sent a passenger to the hospital Thursday.
Jarod Parish, 36, of Flora was driving a 1989 Chevrolet pick-up truck southbound at 11:27 a.m. Thursday on County Road 1100 East, two miles north of Flora, when he exited the roadway and struck a bridge rail end.
Parish traveled about 50 feet along the rail before coming to a rest just south of the bridge.
A passenger in the vehicle, Misty Parish, 33, of Flora was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to Clay County Hospital with injuries. She was later transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Jarod Parish was cited for driving while license revoked, failure to wear a seatbelt, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured vehicle.
