Wind chills to dip below zero Thursday morning

EFFINGHAM — Bundle up! It's about to get even colder.

The National Weather Service reports very cold temperatures will overspread central and southeast Illinois Wednesday night. 

Temperatures are expected to fall to between 5 above and 5 below zero overnight into early Thursday Morning.  Cold temperatures coupled with winds of 5 to 10 mph will produce wind chills in the 10 to 20 degrees below zero by overnight from US 136 north and from zero to 10 below zero south of US 136. 

NWS warns if you must be outside on Thursday morning, try to limit your time in the elements and dress warmly in multiple layers.
