Police Beat

Effingham Police Department reported the following incidents. There were no injuries or citations unless otherwise reported.

• A vehicle driven by Pamela K. Erwin, 64, of Effingham, collided with a vehicle driven by Brenda S. Lustig, 49, of Effingham, at 8:15 a.m. Monday south of the intersection of Third Street and Temple Avenue.

• A vehicle driven by Dawn L. Cox, 47, of Louisville, turned in front of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Joseph E. Boyt Jr., 48, of Effingham. Boyt sustained injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital. Cox was ticketed for improper lane usage.

• A vehicle driven by John H. Barton, 63, of Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Seth G. Harris, 16, of Watson, at 3:08 p.m. Monday at 1200 W. Fayette Ave.

• A vehicle driven by Stevi M. Ross, 23, of Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Joann K. Thompson, 60, of Montrose, at 3:33 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Fourth Street and Temple Avenue.

• Two semitrailers owned by ABF Freights of Effingham had diesel fuel siphoned from the tanks while parked at 1700 W. Wernsing Ave. between 8:30 p.m. March 26 and 4:30 a.m. Monday. A total of 310 gallons of diesel fuel valued at $1,240 was stolen.
