Deputies arrest suspects in connection with Cumberland burglary

EFFINGHAM — Three Marion County men were arrested Wednesday in connection with an alleged residential burglary in rural Cumberland County.

Cumberland County Sheriff Steve Ozier said in a news release that deputies stopped a vehicle in Sigel at 11:36 a.m. Suspects Anthony W. Harden, 26, and Tyrese M. Tyler, 32, both of Salem, were arrested at the traffic stop. A third suspect, Darryll W. Kaufman, 22, of Centralia, fled the scene on foot, but was arrested shortly thereafter in Effingham County.

Ozier said his deputies were assisted by Neoga police, Effingham County deputies and Illinois State Police.
