“It was a really busy fall,” Scott said. “But you don't have a choice when you have triplets.”
With the expanded family, they are already looking for a larger home and a different vehicle. They bought a new car last year, but “we are going to have to start looking for something bigger,” said Jennifer.
Going through about 15 bottles a day and 20 diapers, Jennifer credits a part of her personality she had before becoming a mother to raising three babies.
“I am very routine-oriented,” Jennifer said, whose maiden name is Bartels.
Their church, Red Brush Christian in Louisville, collects diapers for them and was very generous when they brought the babies home.
“We didn't have to cook for a month,” said Jennifer.
All and all, considering the high level of care they received at the hospital, a very helpful family, uninterrupted sleep and a caring church, they both say so far parenthood has been a positive experience.
“We are very blessed,” said Jennifer.
