DIETERICH — It’s official, Santa will be coming to town Monday. Arriving at Dieterich Village Hall at 5 p.m. to hear holiday wishes, Santa’s work won’t be completed there.
It has been confirmed by Village Clerk PaulaRae Johnson that any residents who live in the village and have their porch light on will receive a visit from Santa, who will be transported by the Dieterich Fire Department.
“The fire department is going to pick Santa up at 6 p.m. and take him to all the homes with a porch light on,” said Johnson.
According to Johnson, Santa’s treats and personal visits to Dieterich’s youth will go on as long as it takes to visit all the children. Past trips have taken up to three hours.
While Santa is only visiting kids in town due to time constraints, all area residents are encouraged to come to village hall at 5 p.m. for a visit with the man in red.
