Centralia Balloon Fest

CENTRALIA — Centralia Balloon Fest is set to run Aug. 15 through 17 at Centralia Foundation Park, located at Pleasant and McCord streets. This year’s event will feature over 40 hot-air balloons, entertainment, fireworks, craft fair, car show and cardboard boat races.

The schedule of events for the festival include:



Friday, Aug.15

• 3 p.m. — Gates open; craft fair and food concessions open

• 4:30 to 7 p.m. — One Stone (under picnic tent)

• 5 p.m. — Opening ceremony featuring Centralia High School Marching Showcase

• 5 p.m. — Balloonists enter park

• 6 p.m. — Balloon race

• 7:30 p.m. — Balloon Glow*

• 8:30 to 10 p.m. — South 70 (main stage)

• 10 p.m. — Fireworks



Saturday, Aug. 16

• 6 a.m. — Gates and food concessions open

• 6:30 a.m. — Balloon race

• 7 a.m. — Craft fair opens

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Children’s activity area opens, free.

• 10:30 a.m. — Centralia Martial Arts (south of catfish pond)

• 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. — Entertainment under picnic tent

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Balloon Fest Idol

• Noon to 4 p.m. — Inflatables open

• 2:30 to 4:15 p.m. — The Epics on stage

• 4:30 to 7 p.m. — South 70 on stage

• 12:30 to 4 p.m. — Car show

• 7:30 p.m. — Balloon Glow*

• 8:30 to 10 p.m. — Bob Kuban Band (main stage)



Sunday, August 17

• 6 a.m. — Gates and food concessions open

• 6:30 a.m. — Balloon race

• 7 a.m. — Craft fair opens

• 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. — Church service (under picnic tent)

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Public cardboard boat building (catfish pond)

• Noon to 4 p.m. — Children’s activity area open, free

• 12:30 p.m. — Washer Tournament (registration, 11:30 a.m.)

• 12:30 to 5 p.m. — Entertainment under picnic tent

• 12:30 to 3 p.m. — Schabach (Christian rock)

• 3 to 5 p.m. — Elvis tribute artist

• 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. — Public cardboard boat race (catfish pond)

• 6 p.m. — Final balloon race
