Booth Brothers

With their harmony-drenched vocals and warm, easy voices, the Booth Brothers have been sharing their faith and music since 1998. The group will be on stage at The Rosebud Theatre in Effingham at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9.

Tickets for the show are $10 to $35 and may be purchased online at www.therosebudtheatre.com or by calling 217-540-2787.

Ronnie and Michael Booth grew up in Tampa, Fla., the sons of Ron Booth Sr., who sang in several southern gospel groups, including the Rebels Quartet. The boys began traveling with their father, performing as the Booth Brothers, in 1990.

In 1998, Ron Sr. retired from the stage, so Ronnie and Michael began looking for a new singing partner. Several singers performed with the group, but most recently Jim Brady, formerly of The Schulers, joined the Booth Brothers.

The newest “Booth Brother” actually had his first performance with the trio at a Gaither event. “We didn’t even have a chance to really practice,” Ronnie Booth said on the group’s Web site, www.boothbrothers.

com. “We just met him (Brady) at the event. We ran through a couple of things and then we went on stage,” but the combination worked from the beginning and Brady has become an integral part of the trio.

The Booth Brothers tour the country bringing the message of God’s love to audiences.

The group has received multiple awards and recognitions, including beging named Trio of the Year, Male Group of the Year, Best Live Performer of the Year and Song of the Year.

The Booth Brothers released its first album in 1996 and 24 albums later released the newest recordings, in 2007.
