Keith E. Durre, 70, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday evening, Dec. 26, 2012, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Tabernacle Church, Herrick, with the Rev. Thomas Suey and the Rev. Michael Durre officiating. Burial will be in Iola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Chapel, Effingham, and from one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Keith was born on Aug. 1, 1942, in Effingham, the son of Kenneth and Nina (Byers) Durre. He married Karen Sue Hardig on May 5, 1966, in Farina, and she survives. Keith was a retired data-purchasing processor from Blaw-Knox in Mattoon. He was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church in Herrick.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; four children, Neil (Donna) Durre of Springfield, Regina (Marshall) Hancock of Hendersonville, Jason Durre of Iola, and Kayla Durre of White House, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Katherine Rose and Nathan Eugene Durre of Springfield, Brensley Sheridan, Braelyn Kinsley and Brogan Judson Hancock of Hendersonville and Tristan Scott and Grace Pauline Durre of Iola; one stepgrandson, Brandon James Koester; and brother, the Rev. Michael (Phyllis) Durre of Iola.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
