---- — Evelyn A. (Niehaus) Peters, 92, of Dunedin, Fla., went to rest at home on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013.
Evelyn Peters will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
She was born April 25, 1921, in Teutopolis. She can now join her loving husband, Col. Thomas E. Peters after 70 years of marriage. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and an outstanding military wife. We will miss her smile, humor and wisdom. Special thanks to all our doctors, nurses and caregivers for their care and support.
Mrs. Peters is survived by her four children, Thomas E. Peters and wife, Lu of Dallas, Nancy A. (Peters) Lynch and husband, Frank Lane of Charlottesville, Va., Michael F. Peters and wife, Joy of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Cheryl A. Peters and husband, Charles ‘Chip’ Harris of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Wayne Charles Niehaus of Effingham, William E. Niehaus of Des Plaines, and Gerald A. Niehaus of Sammamish, Wash.
Predeceased in death by her parents, Ewald F. and Frances (Buenekemper) Niehaus.
