ALTAMONT — Dorothy L. Stuckemeyer, 83, of Altamont, died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, with the Rev. Dr. James F. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, and for one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Care Center, Lutheran Care Center Kids or Immanuel Parish Hall Fund.
Dorothy was born on Sunday, Nov. 2, 1930, in Mound Township, rural Altamont, to John and Louise (Vandre) Koss. She married Donald Stuckemeyer on Aug. 2, 1953, at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Altamont, and he preceded her in death in March 1, 2000. She had been a cook at Altamont Community High School and a cook and an aid at Lutheran Care Center. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Patti) Stuckemeyer of Altamont; daughters, Carolyn (Michael) Myers of Altamont, and Judy Stuckemeyer (Dave) of Charleston; sister, Olga Michel of St. Peter; grandchildren, Nichole (Michael) Suckow, Kristy (Mike) Johnson, Ann Boehm, Mitchell (Tiffany) Myers, Megan (Justin) Cole, Kaytie and Ashley Stuckemeyer; and great-grandchildren, Claire Boehm, Hunter Myers, Kaylee Myers, Grady Wilson, Blaire Suckow, Grant Suckow, Sawyer Johnson, Hadley Johnson, Carter Boehm, Jadyn Cole and Dalton Cole; brothers-in-law, Bill Stuckemeyer of Altamont, and Lester Stuckemeyer of Wintersville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Peg Stuckemeyer of Austin, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, George, Ben, Harrry and Charles Koss; and sister, Eva Stuckemeyer.
