---- — William Franklin “Bill” Shubert, 60, of rural Mattoon, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, in his residence.

Graveside services will be held at noon Wednesday in Zion Hill Cemetery, Paradise Township, Coles County, with the Rev. Jon Callahan of Urbana officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Swengel-O’Dell Funeral Home, Neoga. Memorials may be made to his family in care of Brenda S. Shubert, 1360 E. Bill was born Jan. 20, 1953, in Cleveland, the son of Kenneth and Mary (Hoffman) Shubert. Mr. Shubert married Brenda S. Hunter on April 27, 2012, in Coles County.

Bill was a car salesman and part owner of Harper Motor Sales, Mattoon. He and Brenda did everything together, cookouts, fishing and camping out. They enjoyed life together and he was a carrying and forgiving person, always willing to help others and visiting with family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening.

Bill leaves his loving wife, Brenda S, Shubert of rural Mattoon; three sons, Tyler Shubert of Mattoon, Quin Shubert and Nathan Shubert, both of Cisco; four stepdaughters, Jamie Sosqmon (Cody) of Monticello, Tesa White (J.D.) of Gibson City, Meranda Meadows (Calvin) of Paducah, Ky., and Devon Gincley of Mattoon; three sisters, Donna Shubert of Nashville, Tenn., Rebecca Lenoir of Champaign and Barbara Gizegorek of Cleveland; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Shubert was preceded in death by his parents.
