---- — Bradley William Bauman, 58, of Effingham, formerly of Newton, and Cleveland, Tenn., passed away at 11:18 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In loving memory of Bradley, memorials may be made to the Jacob Bauman education fund. Online condolences may be left at www.blakefh.com.

Bradley William Bauman was born in Effingham on June 12, 1955, the son of Jack L. and Jewell (Emmerich) Bauman. Bradley had worked at Bauman Hardware and in the oilfields. He was currently employed at Southeastern Illinois Container Company in Effingham. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, swimming, diving, racquetball and music. He also enjoyed participating in war reenactments.

Bradley is survived by daughter, Sacha (Garrett Dickerson) Bauman of Newton; son, Jacob Bauman of Cleveland, Tenn.; grandson, Cylas Dickerson of Newton; and sister, Jan York of Alto Pass.

Bradley was preceded in death by his parents.
