---- — Evelyn Marie (Rincker) Schrock took her last step on earth Jan. 12, 2014, and the next step into the arms of her Heavenly Father.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville, with the Rev. Glenn Strohschein officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Evelyn was born in Windsor, on May 2, 1923, to David and Anna Pfeiffer Rincker. On May 25, 1941, in Chicago, she married the love of her life, Edwin. They farmed shoulder to shoulder together, laughed and cried together for 54 years. Evelyn’s children were her world and family was very precious to her. She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Shelbyville. Evelyn worked many years as a cook at the Interstate Sale Barn. She enjoyed meeting with her girlfriends for coffee at McDonalds each morning. Mom was famous for her speedy lawn mowing and her homemade cinnamon rolls. She had a God given talent for gardening. If she stuck a dead stick in the ground it would sprout into a bush! Mom had a sweet, simple, and caring nature. She will forever by loved and remembered.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Baumgarten of Dunlap, Donald E. (Kay) Schrock of Chandler, Ariz., and James D. (Cheryl) Schrock of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Brice, Darrin and Dallan Baumgarten, Dawn Dorn, Heather Reid and Adam Schrock; three step-grandchildren, Brent Huntington, Cory Clark and Tracy Huntington Isabell; 18 great-grandchildren; her sister, Joy Lenz of Strasburg; and sisters-in-law, Betty Giberson of Shelbyville, and Loraine Rincker of Windsor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin on Sept. 9, 1995; brothers, Everett Rincker, Carl Rincker and Gaylord Rincker; sister, Davida Edwards; and her parents.
