ROBINSON — Virginia Cooper, 80, of Robinson, formerly of Newton and Effingham, went to be with the Lord at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home, Robinson.
Celebration of VirginiaÕs life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with the Rev. Jeff Monroney officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. It was VirginiaÕs wish to be cremated and her cremains buried in Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville. Virginia was born on July 27, 1932, in Crawford County, the daughter of Byrl Pat Inboden and Dora (Waggoner) Inboden. She was married to Coy H. Cooper who preceded her in death in 1990. Virginia was an LPN from 1972 to 1992, working in hospitals in Robinson and Olney, and later in nursing homes in Robinson, Newton and Oblong. For the last several years, Virginia was a member of the Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church in Effingham. She was a former member of Bible Chapel Church, Robinson, Illinois EUB Church and Wesleyan Churches in Oblong, and the Lawrenceville Wesleyan Church. Virginia was a member of the Robinson High School Class of 1950 and being involved in the churches that she attended. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Cindy Cooper and Patrick and Kelly Cooper; four grandchildren, Brent Cooper, Lance and Krystal Cooper, Kaylynn Cooper and Grant Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Sophia Cooper; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Norman Tracy and Martha and Don Sisil; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Mable Inboden, Ira and Phyllis Inboden, LaVern Inboden, Beulah Inboden, Karon Inboden and Nancy Goble; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Wilber Lee, Max Lloyd, Fred and Byrl Inboden; a sister, Marilyn Sue Inboden Dix; a grandson, Stephen Paul Cooper; two nephews and two nieces.
