---- — Brenda M. Sapp, 49, of Altamont, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services for Brenda will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Altamont, with the Rev. Dr. Lowell L. Donnelley officiating. Visitation wil be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Services are in care of Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Condolences may be left online at www.hallfuneralchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the donor’s choice.
Brenda was born on June 12, 1964, the daughter of Larry and Pearl (Kelley) Moehlenkamp in Arlington Heights. She married Scott L. Sapp on June 12, 2006, in Jamaica. She worked as a supervisor at the Kohl’s Department Store in Effingham ever since its opening. Brenda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altamont.
Survivors include her husband, Scott of Altamont; four children, Makenzee (Cody) Doty of St. Elmo, Dalton, Nicole and Hunter Buff, all at home; three stepchildren, Scottie Sapp (special friend, Amanda Siler) of Altamont, Kyleigh (Austin) Goldstein of Moore, Okla., and Kaleb Sapp of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; parents, Larry and Pearl Moehlenkamp of Stewart, Ohio; brother, Larry (Laura) Moehlenkamp of Algonquin; and sister, Debbie (Greg) Sibley of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Evalyn Moehlenkamp.
