Timothy A. Nation, 58, of Effingham, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, Sept 12, 2013, at Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Timothy was born on Jan. 19, 1955, in Springfield, the son of Eugene and Virginia (Crosby) Nation. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. He was a Master Mason of the Slidell Lodge in Slidell, La. He was a member of Effingham Moose Lodge. He loved to ride his “Harley’s” in his spare time.
Tim is survived by his children, Blake (Vicki) Nation and Blane (Jason) Traxler, both of Effingham, and Levi Nation and Lacey Nation, both of Michigan; granddaughters, Riley and Kyndal Nation, Starr, Serenity, Sierra and Savannah Traxler, Torei Nation; and a grandson due in November; stepchildren, Tammy (Chris) Wagner and Nate Bloss; stepgrandchildren, Cameron, Halley and Gabe; brothers, Mike (Arlene) Nation of Springfield and Mark Parlier of Florida; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents.
