---- — Margaret Voss, 85, of Effingham, formerly of Centralia, died Thursday, May 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church. Online condolences may be left at www.bauerfh.com.
Margaret was born June 12, 1927, in Edwardsville, the daughter of Gladys Maxwell. She grew up in Flora with her grandparents and in February of 1947, she married Raymond Yoho and five children were born to this marriage. In 1971, she married Leo Voss. Margaret was a nurse, LPN, for 40 years. She retired from Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham, on Aug. 1, 2008, at the age of 81. Margaret was a member of Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church, Effingham.
Margaret is survived by three daughters, Mary (Louis) Buennemeyer of Effingham, Nancy (Danny) Lunnemann of Pinckneyville and Donna (Joe) Wagner of Teutopolis; grandchildren, Jim (Ellie) Buennemeyer of Effingham, Tom (Vanessa) Rehkemper of Effingham, Adam (Morgan) Wagner of Effingham, Brett Wagner of Teutopolis, Mike (Nikki) Rehkemper of Breese and Steven (Shelly) Rehkemper of Damiensville; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew and Justin Buennemeyer and Aspen Rehkemper, all of Effingham, Devin, Deandra and Delaney Rehkemper of Breese and Maelee Stephens (fiance, James Phillips) of Altamont; half brother, Frank (Lois) Beck of Odin, Ind.; and sister-in-law, Martha Beck of Farmer City.
Margaret was preceded in death by her mother; infant son, Howard LeRoy; infant daughter, Alta Maxine; husband; and grandparents.
