Wanda Mae Clough, 70, of Sullivan, formerly of Lovington, died at 12:48 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, with the Rev. Gene Godfrey officiating. Wanda was born April 28, 1943, in Effingham, the daughter of Mike and Josie Shelton Pocrnich. She had worked as a waitress at the Dutch Oven Restaurant in Arthur and other area restaurants for more than 20 years. She married Carl A. Clough on July 2, 1960, in Toledo, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1993. Wanda loved to play cards and bingo. She was a NASCAR fan, especially a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr., and was avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving are her son, Curt Clough of Lovington; foster son, Johnny Burgess of Effingham; daughter, Tammy Clough and partner Debra Sanders of Lovington; twin sister, Linda (Owen) Worton Jr. of Wheeler; brother, Roger Pocrnich of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Brittany (Brennon) Winskill, Clayton Clough, Ashley Clough, Chad (Jennifer) Clough, Carl Risley, Bradley Risley, Dustin Burgess, Brianna Burgess, Joshua Sanders, Danielle (Jay) Barton, Zachary (Denise) Sanders, Conner Sanders, Patrick (Ana) Lindstrom; and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Anita Clough and Carla Risley; six brothers and three sisters.
