Filbert H. “Dickie” Maske, 93, of St. Peter, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 in Friendship Manor Nursing Home, St. Elmo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in St. Peter Lutheran Church, with burial in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till service time in the church. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Friendship Manor Nursing Home or to donor’s choice. Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter is entrusted with arrangements.
Filbert was born on Dec. 4, 1919, in St. Peter, the son of Henry Robert and Esther Emma Wollin Maske. He married Elvera B. Magnus on Feb. 15, 1947 in Wilberton Township, Fayette County. She passed away on Nov. 25, 2003.
He was an operator at St. Peter Elevator for 27 years and a lifelong farmer. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and gardening and spending time out on the porch swing with the dogs.
Surviving are sons, Delmar (wife Phyllis) Maske of Farina, Galen (wife Joyce) Maske of St. Peter; daughter, Brenda (husband John) Toms of Benton; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Maske of St. Peter; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Clifford Dean Maske; two brothers, twin Gilbert and Leroy in infancy; and two grandsons, Scott and Cory.
