William Bryan Jeffreys, 66, of Trilla, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at his home, surrounded by family.
His memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Barkley Funeral Chapel, Greenup, with his brother, Stephen Jeffreys Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a fund for his grandsons’ college education c/o First Neighbor Bank, Toledo, IL.
Bryan was born Feb. 24, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska, son of Julia Caroline (Kojdecki) and Stephen Alson Jeffreys Sr. He married Janett S. Winter-Black, Sept. 13, 1997, at Neoga; she survives. Bryan was owner of Everhart & Everhart Abstractors in Toledo.
Also surviving is one daughter, Sarah Marie Nelson of Stoughton, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jack Owen Nelson, Barrett Evan Nelson, William Bryan Nelson, Maxwell Nathan Nelson; stepchildren, Jason Ryan Black of Hasselt, Belgium, and Suzanne Elizabeth Black of Mattoon; two brothers, Stephen Jeffreys Jr. of Bloomington, and Todd Jeffreys of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Leanna Kijanowski of Elmwood, Mary Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, and Patti Rebbec of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Janet Jeffreys.
