---- — Betty Frye, 85, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at The Village Hospital in The Villages, Florida.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Red Brush Christian Church. Interment will be at Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, and one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home. Betty was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Louisville, the daughter of the late Ray Dawkins and the late Lillie (Daugherty) Dawkins. She married Gerald Frye on July 3, 1948, in Louisville, and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. She was employed by Clay County State Bank as a bank teller and was a member of Red Brush Christian Church.

Betty is survived by her husband, Gerald of Lady Lake, Florida; two sons, Scott (Kimberly) Frye of Ocala, Florida, and Jim (Joyce) Frye of Apopka, Florida; three daughters, Cathy (Bud) Clark of Aurora, Colorado, Nancy (Alan) Kessler of Goreville, Sue (Don) Dean of Concordia, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one sister; and one grandchild, Travis Dean.
