---- — Neville Guy Carrington, 88, of Clay City, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at Effingham Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Clay City, with the Rev. Albert Allen officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery, with military rites by the Clay County Veterans. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today, May 13, at the funeral home. He was born June 26, 1925, in Kentucky, the son of Charles Edward Carrington and Mary Ellen Zornes. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He married Anna Mary Weiler on Feb. 21, 1955, in Lawrenceville. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2010.
He is survived by his children, Brenda Carrington of Pacific, Missouri, Craig Carrington and wife, Cheryl of Dietrich, and Lisa Benson and husband, Sam of Olney; grandchildren, Jason Carrington, Christine Carrington, Sarah (Kyle) Bohnhoff, and Ivy Benson; three great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Carrington and wife, Bev of Cisne; sisters, Pat (Toy) Heape of Hixson, Tennessee, Violet “Bambi” Carrington of Olney, and Peggy Scott of Columbia, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; wife; brother, Glenn; sisters, Olive Davis, Judy Hardin and Nita Ginn; and infant brother, Buddy.
