Margaret T. Fearday, 72, of rural Neoga, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Heartland Christian Village, Neoga.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church of Neoga, with the Rev. Sunder Ery; her nephew, the Rev. Allen Moran; and Sister Pat Thies officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 24, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church of Neoga, with a 8 p.m. Rosary conducted by Jane Moran. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Sigel.

Margaret was born March 24, 1942, in Mattoon, the daughter of Norbert P. and Bertha L. (Welch) Moran. Margaret was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Neoga, and the St. Mary’s Women’s Council of Neoga. She married Virgil Wm. Fearday, Jan. 21, 1967, in Neoga. Virgil passed away Aug. 18, 2005. Margaret was a housewife, homemaker and she helped her husband on the farm. She was also a former employee of the General Electric Company of Mattoon and she was an accomplished artist.
She also helped at the Moran’s Orchard, where she spent her childhood. She was also a volunteer for the Catholic Charities and a member of Secular- Franciscan.
Mrs. Fearday leaves one son, David Wm. Fearday and wife Lisa of rural Neoga; two daughters, Martha Boarman and husband Rob of Shelbyville, and Mary Sue Cardinal and husband Chad of rural Neoga; mother-in-law, Mrs. Leona Fearday of rural Neoga; two brothers, William N. Moran and wife Barbara of rural Toledo, and John R. Moran and wife Jane of rural Trilla; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fearday was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Fearday; and father-in-law, Everett Fearday.
