Marva Jean Perry, 75, of Effingham, passed away at 7:34 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
A private memorial service will be held in Beecher City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at lockartgreenfuneralhome.com.
Marva was born June 29, 1938, in Pana, the daughter of Ellis Opal and Laura Geneva Bryant Frailey, who were life-time residents of St. Elmo. She married Lindsey Eugene Childress in 1954. She married Jack Creager in Urbana, in 1972. She married Charles Eugene Perry in 1983. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Surviving are her sons, David (Janine) Childress and Philip (Denise) Childress, both of Beecher City; two grandsons; 11 granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; 12 great-granddaughters; brothers, Roger (Lois) Frailey of Decatur, Paul (Mildred) Frailey of Neoga, and Lowell Richard (Maeve) Frailey of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters, Barb Nielson of Pisque, Iowa, and Donna (Doyle) Dial of St. Elmo.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Perry; only daughter, Diane Perry; her parents; and brother-in-law, Ray Nielson.
