---- — Virginia Rae Wright, 87, of Louisville, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Salem Township Hospital, Salem.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, with Gary Kuhlig officiating. Interment will be in Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home. She was born March 17, 1926, in Iola, the daughter of Silas and Gertrude (Krutsinger) Green. She was united in marriage with Hollis Wright on April 1, 1948, in Morganfield, Ky., and with this union were a son and a daughter. Virginia was a faithful member of the Louisville Christian Church and enjoyed her time as a homemaker and helping Hollis with his home milk delivery.
She is survived by son, Gary Wright of Vandalia; daughter, Sherry Gibson of Salem; brothers, Howard Green of Paris, Tenn., and M.G. “Chub” Green (Kathleen) of Louisville; sister, Violet Howe of Edwardsville; granddaughters, Heather Gibson and Tara Day; and great-granddaughter, Shania Kincaid.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Silas and Gertrude Green; infant brother, Archie Wayne Green; and sisters, Orpha Painter and Mildred Rogers.
