Louise Elizabeth Collins, age 92, of Yale, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at St. AnthonyÕs Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Ê
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Cummins Church, rural Yale, with Ivan Bennett officiating.ÊBurial will be in the Hunt Cemetery, rural Yale. Ê Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church.ÊIn loving memory of Louise, memorials may be made to the Cummins Church.ÊBishop Funeral Home, Greenup, is in charge of arrangements. Louise was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Rose Hill, the daughter of Edwin O. and Gladys (Gosnell) Romack.ÊShe married Maynard Collins on Aug. 25, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1995. Louise worked as a cook at the Rose Hill School and later worked at E.R. Moore Company in Newton. Louise was a member of the Cummins Church, Rose Hill Household Science Club and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.ÊShe enjoyed playing cards.
Louise is survived by children, Jerry (Loraine) Collins of Yale, Linda (George) Randazzo of Bloomingdale, and Patrick Collins of Effingham; sister, Neva Baker of Effingham; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, John Michael Collins; brothers, Fred, Floyd, Forrest, Melvin and Edwin Romack, Jr.; and a sister, Mary George.
