---- — Gerald Max Veach, 71, of Altamont, died at his home at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, with Rev. LeRoy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Mason Cemetery, Mason. Max was born on Thursday, July 30, 1942 in Charleston, to Charlie and Beulah (Millage) Veach. He was a farmer and had worked at Milleville Farms of Altamont for 50 years.
He is survived by his brother, Lowell Veach, wife Mickey, of Mason; sisters, Mary Higgs, husband Eddie ‘Pete’, Rachel Stonum and Wanda Higgs, all of Altamont; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Bud, Harold, Dale, Paul, Rex and Gilbert Veach; and sister, Juanita.
