EFFINGHAM — Colette A. Rickelman, of Effingham, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.

    Following Colette’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A commital service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. Anthony Cemetery, Effingham. Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.bauerfh.com.

    Colette was born June 10, 1926, in Teutopolis, the daughter of Bernard and Marie (Kralman) Huelsing. She married George F. Rickelman on Oct. 19, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Effingham.

    Colette is survived by her two sons, Thomas G. (Nan) of Decatur and Gerald K. (Becky) of Effingham; three grandsons, Colin of Decatur and Aaron and Tyler, both of Chesterfield, Mo.; great-grandson, MacRae of Decatur; brother, Vince (Ginny) of Teutopolis; three sisters, Micki (Mac) McDermott of St. Louis, Clarice (Joe) Grosso of Chicago and Pat (Ken) Donnelly of St. Louis.

    Colette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and two brothers, Harold and Gene.
