Mary A. Keplar, 71, of Effingham, died at 11:08 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, with burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Mary was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Bona, Ark., to James and Lucille (O’Conner) Graves. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Effingham. She married David Keplar in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 2001.
Mary is survived by her son, John (Kim) Proffitt of Stewardson; her daughter, Charlene Stanley Mosby of Effingham; her brother, Joe (Kay) Graves of Vandalia; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
