---- — Lucille B. Starwalt, 89, of Montrose, passed away at 4:51 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Jewett Community Church. Burial will be in Mullen Cemetery, rural Montrose. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Barkley Funeral Chapel, Toledo. Memorials can be made to the Jewett Community Church. Lucille was born on Sept. 18, 1923, in Neoga, the daughter of Thurl and Nellie (Prince) Burton. She married Rex Starwalt on Oct. 3, 1959, in Effingham. Lucille was a homemaker and retired from G.E. in Mattoon. She attended Jewett Community Church. Lucille was a longtime quilter, she loved her family, cooking and watching blue birds.
Surviving is her husband; son, E. Gerard (wife, Patricia) Kinnaman of Charleston; brothers, Thurl Burton Jr. of Watson, Lester Burton of Neoga, Paul Burton of Toledo, Jack Burton of Watson and Carl Burton of Lawrenceville; one sister, Faye Welch of Mattoon; three grandchildren, Angela Coulter of Rantoul, Marla (Daniel) Tweit of West Terre Haute, Ind., and Stacie (Al) Gollihar of Mattoon; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marion, Henry and Gilbert Burton; and sisters, Vivian Cross, Eunice Starwalt, Maxine Cather and Joan Cross.
