---- — Eva M. Bloemker, 79, of rural Dieterich, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Newton Rest Haven.
Funeral services celebrating Eva’s life will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, with Carroll Ross officiating. Burial will be in Dieterich Village Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In loving memory of Eva, memorials may be made to Winterrowd Christian Church. Online condolences may be left at www.blakefh.com.
Eva was born on Aug. 27, 1933, in Jasper County, the daughter of Parker and Oma (Gillespie) Brackett. She married Delbert Garland Bloemker on Dec. 28, 1951, in Dieterich, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 2004. Eva was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Winterrowd Christian Church.
Eva is survived by three daughters, Diana (Jack) Barr of Altamont, Brenda Bloemker of Newton and Connie (Todd) Faught of Dieterich; five grandchildren, Brian (Angie) Barr, Cheryl (Doug) Lamb, Ashley Faught, Matthew Faught and Jeffrey Faught; and six great-grandchildren, McKenzie Barr, Brady Barr, Dylan Barr, Kaleb Melvin, Austin Lamb and Kyle Lamb.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a granddaughter, Kathy Jo Barr.
